Book Review: THE FORTUNES OF INDIGO SKYE

Earlier this week I finished reading The Fortunes of Indigo Skye by Deb Caletti.

Indigo Skye is many things: a senior in high school, a waitress at Carrera's (a restaurant that serves mainly breakfast), the girlfriend of refrigerator-delivery-guy Trevor- oh yeah, and she's a millionare. That's right- millionare. One day a mysterious man left her a two and a half million dollar tip, and Indigo didn't know what to do. Her dad warned her that money changes people, but Indigo blew it off. She was convinced that the money wouldn't change her on the inside, only change her positively on the outside with new clothes, make up, the works. Well, Indigo learns pretty quickly that money does change people. Indigo has to change her life fast, before her friends' and family's anger boils over.

This was an excellent book. It really shows how a lot of money can change you if you let it. It was slow in some parts, but overall it was a great read. This was the first book that I've read by Deb Caletti, and I will definitely be readig another one. She is an awesome author!!!

Rating: :0) :0) :0) :0) 4 out of 5 smileys

Would I recommend it to a friend?: Yes! It was a great book!

Peace and Love,
Aceba
